In game two, Ozarks out hit the Patriots 11-6, but stranded ten runners during the contest. Texas-Tyler led 2-0 after the fourth frame, but Ozarks scored once in the top of the fifth to pull within 2-1. The Patriots got the run back in the bottom half of the inning, but Ozarks again responded with one run in the eighth. Texas-Tyler, however, recorded a timely hit in the bottom of the eighth to gain a 4-2 advantage. Ozarks did open the top of the ninth with back-to-back walks, but couldn?t plate either runner.
Michael Prusator finished 3-for-4 for Ozarks. Chris Driedric and Tony Morales each went 2-for-4. Josh Stroffregen (0-2) took the loss after throwing four innings.
Ozarks will host LeTourneau University April 5-6 in a three-game series. Saturday?s double-header can be heard on www.kxio.nu and locally on 106.9 FM.
